None. Tube Transcript does not collect, store, transmit, or process any user data. The extension runs entirely within your browser.

What happens when I use the extension?

When you click the Tube Transcript icon on a YouTube video page:

The extension reads the transcript data that YouTube has already loaded into the current page's DOM.
The transcript text is displayed in a panel on the page.
If you choose to copy or download, the file is generated locally in your browser.
No data is sent to any server, API, or third party.

Does the extension communicate with external servers?

No. Tube Transcript makes zero network requests. It only reads data from the YouTube page you are currently viewing. There is no backend, no API, no analytics endpoint, no telemetry.

Does the extension use cookies or local storage?

No. Tube Transcript does not use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any other browser storage mechanism.

Does the extension access data on other websites?

No. The extension only runs on youtube.com pages. It has no access to any other website or browser data.

Third-party services

Tube Transcript does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party service. There are no analytics providers, no crash reporters, no ad networks, no AI processing services.

Children's privacy
